there is actually a christmas song called "please daddy don't get drunk on christmas." that is hilarious. john denver covered it.

i stop thinking about a family sitting around a fire singing christmas songs and then this one comes up and everyone is singing with a slight grin towards daddy and he's looking back smiling with this awww shucks grin as if to say, "i know, i know. i probably shouldn't get drunk again this christmas." and it's all a big joke.
