last night we saw the elephant six orchestra at the larimer lounge. the elephant six orchestra is a hodge-podge of people from the elephant six recording company. neutral milk hotel, apples in stereo and olivia tremor control are the main bands i listen to that are part of the elephant six recording company. i guess i listen to beulah sometimes too. anyway, a lot of those bands don't exist anymore and so some of the characters from those groups are touring as the orchestra. it was a great show. the guy i'm standing with up there is not tim robbins, although he does look like tim robbins. his name is pete and he was a member of olivia tremor control. cool dude. also, i didn't realize it at the time until i saw the picture, but that jacket makes me look huge. i haven't moved to colorado and gained fifty pounds. that is not the case. so we had a good time. seeing shows in denver is pretty sweet. i'm really digging the music scene here. i'm hoping to see phosphorescent at the larimer lounge in april. we'll see how that goes.
