popular
i haven't heard this song in probably 6-7 years. i have no idea why superdrag's "sucked out" got stuck in my head today which for some other reason led me to thinking about this song nada surf's "popular". it was a roundabout of one-hit wonders from the 90's. next week i'll be dissecting the primative radio gods, dishwalla and white town. if anyone can name the songs of those one-hit wonders i will personally put a picture of them on my blog and explain why they are a superstar. no cheating though. superstars don't cheat.

Ill take that challenge. Primitive would be Standing at a phonebooth with change in my hand. Dishwalla is counting blue cars and white town is... I could never be a woman? That last one sort of gets me I think.
oh and check out Nada Surf's album Let Go. Its actually has some really great moments on it and not at all like Popular.
this answer is so close. primitative radio gods is not exactly right. "standing outside a broken phone booth with...." is a hint for that one. dishwalla is correct. and white town is so close i will count it. the song is "your woman". so if no one else steps up and takes this thing, - is the winner.
whoa. that song was good/tru-ish and creeped me out at the same time. . never saw that video before.
