when i'm with you

man I have not blooged or blogged in a while. either one. it's been a few weeks. what have I been doing? I'm not sure.

my friends don't seem to blog much anymore either. it's like we all hit a wall and decided we didn't have much to say anymore. our lives were busy enough to not have time to document them too. we were just living them I guess.

there hasn't been much going on around here. right now, this very second, I'm sitting up in bed with sofie sitting next to me. she is cleaning herself, as she normally does. I am listening to openair, the AM station here in Denver that plays so much great stuff. I just heard best coast and now I'm listening to Edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros. the dull strange sound of AM is so great. I love this station.

it's late. I worked late. again. I'm not sure what to make of that. we'll see in a few months if it continues.

it snowed tonight too. probably 2 inches. maybe 3. I'm kind of impervious to it at this point. I'm tired of winter. you should see my knuckles. they are cracked and hurting constantly. my hands are dry. my body is dry. I'm ready for sun and moisture and sweating in summertime. I'm also ready for watermelon and cold beer. I'm ready to get my tape measure back out and work outside my house. there's a great feeling to working on your house. I hope this one doesn't fall down. sometimes I get worried.

I just leaned back and pet sofie. she started purring. I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm her mate. that's fine with me. I could have done worse.

I'm reconnecting with some old friends via text with my old phone. nothing constant, but it's nice to see and hear from them. I like to hear they're doing well and are happy. it's pretty interesting the paths we've all taken.

so I guess that's good for tonight.

better than I've done in months. maybe I need to get back on here and rekindle my creativity.
