how about that! i no more than question the obama administration's committment to integrity and change and they do it. daschle is out as nominee for health and human safety. are the two connected? who knows. does president obama read my blog? maybe. could happen. i've heard a few little lines here and there that sound familiar. regardless, this is the 2nd obama appointee to pull out due to tax problems. geithner didn't pull out, he was still approved as treasury secretary and bill richardson left due to an investigation in his administration. obama was very proud of his vetting process, but it seems to have failed him in several, high-profile instances.
executive pay is coming under major fire. obama wants to cap it at $500,000 for companies that receive federal bailout loans (hopefully these are loans). i don't like the number. i want it to be $501,721.23. that seems more appropriate, doesn't it?

in an economy like this, people constantly discuss what stocks/bonds/whatever to buy. i like this idea. keep it with stock dividends. reinvest your dividends and buy more of the stock.
