the beatles playing on the roof at abbey road studios would easily get my vote as the coolest moment in rock and roll. imagine your favorite band, collecting their gear and setting up on the roof of a nearby building in downtown somewhere and they start playing new material. not only that, but look at the footage. they look cool as shit. they have beards and awesome british clothes with coats. and it looks cold and dreary and they're rocking out. it literally gives chills every time i see it.
